Final Meeting Agenda
Presidential Speaker Joseph Bosco, M.D. will present “Current Challenges of Educating Residents and Fellows"
The Immediate Past-President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a recognized expert in the field of hip and knee replacement, Dr. Joe Bosco has devoted much of his life to the education of orthopaedic surgeons at every stage of their careers. He has held numerous academic appointments over the last 30 years and is the recipient of numerous honors and awards for his work with medical students, orthopedic surgery residents, and post-doctoral fellows in research. He is currently a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the NYU School of Medicine, and is uniquely positioned to discuss the challenges facing orthopaedic educators at a time when hours are limited, the number of cases is mandated, and knowledge is being acquired exponentially.
Presidential Speaker Stephen Adams, M.D. will present “History of Baseball Medicine”
Dr. Steve Adams is the head team physician for the Chicago Cubs, a Past-President of the Major League Baseball Team Physicians Association, and a past Chairman of the Major League Baseball Medical Advisory Committee. A Professor of Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, he is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Sports Medicine. His presentation on the history of baseball medicine was well-received at the annual meeting of the MLBTPA, and promises to be very entertaining.
